Online accord links jobs and education
GoJobsite has signed a major agreement with the Engineering and Technology Board.
GoJobsite has signed a major agreement with the Engineering and Technology Board (ETB) - a national partnership to promote science, engineering and technology.
GoJobsite will provide job-searching facilities through the ETB website and the ETB will provide users of GoJobsite with science, engineering and technology content (SET).
The ETB was formed to tackle the significant yet unaddressed needs of the UK's science, engineering and technology industry, and to create a unified platform and voice.
Central to this is the formation of a more inclusive, unified and coherent structure for the science, engineering and technology community, which better represents professionals in the field.
GoJobsite recognises the agreement to be both a crucial offering to it's SET users and a valuable service to ETB's community.
GoJobsite managing director, Keith Potts commented: "We were impressed by ETB's plans and their vision of a unified SET community all the way through to captains of industry.
This, combined with their current close links to business and industry, academia and the profession, made the partnership ideal for us".
"The fit between the two parties is perfect and GoJobsite is very proud to be part of such a crucial initiative in taking the SET community forwards".
This move represents an initial step in ETB's plans to expand its web offering to include jobs, career advice, teacher support, news and articles.
Through an easy to use and comprehensive online destination, the ETB is helping to connect all those involved in SET, including professionals or children.
"Partnering with GoJobsite ties in perfectly with out aim of connecting the entire SET community, especially thorough the web.
We will bring the best online players in the science, engineering and technology world together under one virtual roof.
We believe that GoJobsite, with its comprehensive span across this community - and its ambitious plans for the future - makes for an ideal partner for our current and future community", commented Adrian Talbot, Director E-Services, ETB.
