RF connectors rewrite performance-cost equation

Now available from Gothic Components is the full selection of Greenpar connectors.

The new family is specifically designed to satisfy commercial RF applications, where low-cost connectors must deliver high electrical and mechanical performance to meet end user requirements.

Now marketed by Tyco, the Greenpar range solves the lack of low-cost connectors able to meet EMI/RFI screening, contact integrity, and insertion loss requirements, as well as a robust mechanical construction to withstand a high number of mating cycles.

The full line up, available from Gothic Components, includes SMB, SMC, BNC, TNC, MHV and MCX formats, N-type and UHF connectors.

Currently comprising around 350 coax variants, the range will later be extended to over 500 configurations including type-F and FME types.

A comprehensive selection of terminations, accessories and inter series adapters has also been developed.

Available at volume prices consistent with the expectations of sectors including broadcast, data networking, industrial electronics and instrumentation, all products in the range will feature brass housings, teflon insulation, silicon rubber gaskets and copper alloy contacts.

Plating styles will include silver, nickel and gold.
