Software course explains boundary scan
concepts

Boundary Scan Coach is a novel, free, interactive learning software package for anyone interested in the electronic testing of PCBs using boundary scan.

Boundary Scan Coach is a novel, free, interactive learning software package for anyone interested in the electronic testing of PCBs using boundary scan The Boundary Scan Coach software answers all questions and applications about boundary scan with no need for a real board or additional hardware

"This learning software introduces the basics and principles of the most revolutionary test strategy for electronic assemblies", says Bettina Becker, Goepel Electronic's Manager for Marketing and International Sales.

"The user is now able to deal with the topic boundary scan practically and easily".

"This has been another important step towards the establishment of the innovative strategy for testing, programming and verification by means of JT on a hard fought market".

The Boundary Scan Coach was developed to answer fundamental questions about the boundary scan methodology.

Now it is possible to find out how a conducting path is controlled and measured through boundary scan or how a data register can be shifted.

The user can also select between virtual and real applications as the software can also be used to test a real board using boundary scan.

The Boundary Scan Coach is divided into two segments: in the first part the principles of JT/boundary scan are introduced in small segments.

In the second part the user can deal with the technology more intensively and specifically via "learning by doing".

The results of the various boundary scan operation modes are displayed graphically.

In principle, the Boundary Scan Coach software does not require any hardware because it runs in a virtual mode.

However, it it is also possible to connect and execute the software on an existing board (Boundary Scan Coach/EZScan) to improve understanding.

The EZScan board was developed by Goepel Electronic for this reason.

Interested parties are welcome to download the Boundary Scan Coach software from Goepel Electronic's website. Request a free brochure from Goepel Electronic ...
