At SMT/Hybrid/Packaging 2005 next month in Nuremberg, Goepel Electronic will release the new OptiCon series in Hall 7 Stand 333 Billed as an outstanding innovation for automated optical inspection, OptiCon is a completely new platform that guarantees extremely high test coverage, even on PCBs that could previously only be partially tested

OptiCon uses a modular camera concept with a choice of 1 or 4Mpixel resolution.

For even higher test coverage, users can apply additional camera options for THT components, colour inspection or 3D measurement as well as angled view inspection.

The new platform is designed with performance in mind, offering higher test speed, reduced debug times, minimal false call rate and extremely high fault coverage.

To complement this increased performance the new platform has an all new, fresh appearance and space for further options and capability.

Besides the new platform, the OptiCon X-Line, which combines both AOI and X-ray inspection (AXI), will be exhibited on the Goepel Electronic stand.

Also on show, the OptiCon BasicLine and SmartLine were developed for use as offline systems, yet are powered by the same technology as the flagship AOI systems. Request a free brochure from Goepel Electronic ...
