Goepel Electronic has developed a low-cost alternative to its PXI/PCI CAN communication card.

Goepel Electronic has developed a low-cost alternative to its PXI/PCI CAN communication card.

The PXI/PCI 3058 is based on the PXI/PCI 3051 but features limited functionality.

All in all four ports (CAN controller) provide the hardware performance - two ports on the baseboard and two on the PXI card.

Each channel is a 32bit CAN controller to ensure the required performance.

The new card's connection technology is similar to and pin compatible with the PXI/PCI 3051, and it retains the proven and popular system of pluggable transceiver modules.

The software features a limited instruction set but still contains basic functions such as message sending and receiving, monitoring and ramp generation.
