A USB-based test solution handles multiple bus protocols such as CAN, LIN or K-line simultaneously, offering significant cost savings for the user.

Goepel Electronic now offers a USB-based test solution that can handle multiple bus protocols such as CAN, LIN or K-line simultaneously, offering significant cost savings for the user.

The main field of use for the USB 3080 is in mixed communications applications such as testing gateway functions of ECUs requiring CAN, LIN, K-line and diagnostics.

Users can now execute complex test tasks such as bus simulation, network management, diagnostic and ramp functions combined with bus spanning tests such as routing performance with just a single card.

The new 3080 communications controller is available as either a USB plug-in card or as a stand-alone instrument called the basicCAR (the latest member of the CAR Master Line).

It has two configurable CAN interfaces and two serial interfaces for LIN and K-Line and supports the standard SAE J1850 with independently configurable transceivers.

The card has four digital I/Os and two analogue inputs.

Versatile diagnostic functions (eg KWP 1281, KWP 2000 and UDS protocols) provide extended performance.

USB 3080 and basicCAR are designed for CAN, LIN and K-line applications in the car manufacturing and supplier industry for simple integration and use in test systems and as stand-alone test solution for mixed bus systems.
