Goepel Electronic has developed an all-new versatile hardware solution for test and diagnostic applications in vehicle electronics named Smartcar.

Smartcar is a universal, modular and portable hardware interface that eases access to CAN, LIN and K-line communications interfaces using externally pluggable transceiver modules.

It is connected to the system by means of a USB 2.0 interface.

Smartcar enables transport protocols, diagnostic and rest bus simulation (onboard).

Because of its compact design Smartcar is a mobile test system that can be used in various application areas.

The small, compact and easy-to-adapt Smartcar is real-time-capable and can be run independently from the PC operating system.

Due to the support of a microcontroller applied in the system, Smartcar perfectly implements bus accesses in various applications.

The interface can be configured according to individual applications, and so can can work with multiple standards.

Because of Smartcar's modular architecture the support of future transceiver types is ensured.

The transceiver's supply is possible on the part of the application as well as directly from Smartcar.

Smartcar can be used for mobile applications, test and diagnostic systems as well as user-specific test tasks for mixed bus systems in the automotive industry.
