Before accepting his executive management position at Gradient, Moynihan held several executive positions at Cadence, most recently Vice President of Business Development for the IC Implementation Group, where he led investment, acquisition and alliance activities in the electronic design automation industry.
He joined Cadence in 1996 with the acquisition of High Level Design Systems, where he had been Vice President of Technology Services.
He has also held technical and marketing positions at Advanced Micro Devices, Mentor Graphics, ESL, and Lockheed.
Moynihan holds an MBA from Pepperdine University and a BS in computer and information science from Ohio State University.
