Based on IBM's award-winning Power4 architecture, the new PowerPC 970FX processor achieves high system performance with a dual-channel front-side 1GHz processor bus and very fast hyper-transport interconnections.
The device gives developers 64bit computing power while assuring legacy support by running 32bit applications natively.
The Multi IDE with optimising C and C++ compilers for the IBM 970FX is available today.
