Adapters put old phones on the net
GTK has launched a complete range of BT-to-RJ45 line adapter units to connect legacy telephone handsets fitted with BT 431A standard connectors to local area network structured cabling.
GTK sees potential for growth in all geographic locations, having experienced continuous improvement in sales over the last three years.
Its objective is to grow organically, principally with business from the UK, Germany and Taiwan.
GTK is achieving recognition as a global, high quality supplier connectors, cable assemblies, optoelectronic components and PCBs, plus fabrication services to high calibre customers in selected key market sectors.

Network sockets take status LEDs onboard
A range of low-profile RJ45 network sockets with integrated status LEDs is designed for manufacturers of networking devices as well as telecommunications systems, PCs and servers.
Outlets and patch panels meet full enhanced specs
A new range of low-cost RJ45 UTP (unshielded twisted pair) data outlets and patch panels, fully compliant with the Cat 5e rating, has been introduced by GTK.
Network sockets are RoHS-compliant
GTK's range of low-profile RJ45 network sockets are now RoHS-compliant, well ahead of the new legislation due for implementation next summer.
To support this drive, a product group structure was established in 2007.
Three business managers are now responsible for connectors and cable assemblies, product fabrication and PCBs, and optoelectronics.
To facilitate its planned growth, GTK has implemented a number of new initiatives.
GTK originally opened its Taiwan office to provide the link between UK sales and Far Eastern manufacturers.
The remit has since become wider and direct sales are now increasingly important as production moves around the world following cheap labour markets.
The Taiwan office now accounts for 13% of overall direct sales.
To support growth in Europe, and to develop its presence in Western Europe's largest electronics market, GTK Electronics in Germany was opened in February 2008.
The objective is to take the skills, knowledge and infrastructure of the UK operation and develop as similar model in Germany.
The connector markets for connectors and cables in the UK and Germany are GBP 1375 million and GBP 1719 million, respectively, illustrating that the company is operating in a market where there is great potential to grow market share.
During 2007, GTK acquired the business of a UK cable assembly company based in Romsey.
It was felt that GTK could make the investment that was needed to expand the business and relatively easily increase the level of sales by transferring existing business and developing new accounts.
The objective is to offer European-made, as well as Far Eastern manufactured cable assemblies to its target customers.
Comments Sales Director, Chris Osborn: "Our strategy is to engage as fully as possible with customers".
"This has resulted in GTK moving into full fabrication of products, and this is contributing to our outstanding growth".
"Whereas three years ago a detailed customer quote would be three or four pages long, one recent quote ran to 127 pages".
"We target and encourage dialogue with startup companies and design houses - our major successes usually concern new customer products".
He continues: "Our policy of manufacturing in the Far East is well known, and we have been making our products in the same factories in China and Taiwan for many years".
"Many of the reputable, high-quality factories in China are now at full capacity, making it very difficult for new companies who may wish to engage with them and work on small volume start projects".
"Our long and established policy of building strategic partnerships in that region is paying off very well". Request free introductory details about products from GTK ...
