As demand for RFI shielding has risen significantly, the need for an effective way to mount shields has now been addressed by Harwin.
They also protect sensitive chips from high soldering temperatures, by allowing the device to be placed after soldering.
Devices feature polarisation marking to simplify package assembly.
A range of sizes and styles is available.
DIP sockets (dual row) are available in four row pitches - 7.62, 10.16, 15.24 and 22.86mm (0.3, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.9in).
Single row socket strips are also available in 20 or 32 contact options for added flexibility - these can also be cropped to the number of contacts required.
Both dual and single row styles use a four-finger beryllium copper contact clip for reliability, and are end and side stackable.
Surface mount and through-hole PLCC sockets are also included.
All products are available in RoHS and high-temperature format.
Non-RoHS versions are also available.
