The cabling saves money because it can be stripped and formed by hand without the need for special and often expensive tooling associated with traditional semirigid cable.
Designed as a flexible alternative to semirigid cables, the Multibend product features: highly effective shielding; low attenuation and losses; good mechanical strength; high power handling thanks to the use of high-temperature dielectric material; and resistance to chemical attack.
Accepting standard solder-type semirigid connectors, the cable is suitable for a wide range of applications, particularly where some flexing is required.
These include: commercial and military high-frequency RF systems; cellular basestations; point-to-point microwave communication systems; repeaters; satellite ground systems; and industrial sensing and measurement equipment.
