A new single-lever locking system has been introduced by Harting for use with its HAN range of heavy-duty industrial connector housings The new product has been introduced to meet the market demands for a lever system featuring easy handling, low operating forces and a high number of operating cycles

The lever itself is manufactured from plastic and features a stainless steel spring.

This combination of materials makes it resistant to many different stresses, including pollution, shock and other aggressive influences.

The new Harting lever system is particularly suited to providing safe and easy operation in areas with restricted access, such as machine cabinets.

In applications where the housing is mounted overhead, the levers can be placed in the unoperated position until the connector is mated and the closing force is applied.

The locking forces are absorbed by the steel spring, guaranteeing a continuous sealing effect.
