New Pg-9 panel feedthroughs and M8 and M12 sensor connectors have been added to the Harax rapid termination system from Harting The Harax system, based on insulation-displacement technology, combines the advantages of connectors and conventional cable glands

The new additions to the range are specifically aimed at simplifying the installation of sensors and actuators in the industrial automation environment.

Harax offers a quick and simple installation procedure which simply involves removing the outer insulation of the cable, attaching the Harax connector assembly, and tightening a screw cap.

Not only is connection performed automatically, but the finished joint offers full strain relief as well as sealing to IP67.

The unique design of the Pg-9 panel feedthrough allows cable to be terminated externally, thus protecting equipment within the control panel from installation damage.

M8 and M12 connectors with Harax rapid termination technology are particularly suited to applications where pre-assembled cable has typically been used.

Cable can be terminated quickly and securely to the connectors, eliminating the need for fixed-length pre-assembled cable with its inherent problems of waste and bundling of excess cable.

The Harax product range also encompasses passive and active splitter boxes, including I/O modules for use in AS-interface networks.
