Harting has set up a new manufacturing operation at its UK headquarters in Northampton.
Harting has set up a new manufacturing operation at its UK headquarters in Northampton Known as Harting Integrated Solutions, the new facility specialises in the production of electronic backplanes and related subassemblies, including cable assemblies, subracks and enclosures

The new Harax M8-S connector can be used on cables with outer diameters from 2.5 to 5mm.
Equipment installed at the Northampton plant includes two of Harting's own-manufactured automated press-in machines - the most advanced of their type - which guarantee a high degree of precision, repeatability and quality in the assembly process, particularly for large, complex boards.
Also included are flow-solder and surface-mount assembly lines, an automatic component inspection machine and three 65,000-node backplane testers - all housed within a fully static-safe environment.
The manufacturing and warehouse operation occupies 1800m2 and currently employs 38 people.
