New generation Han DD industrial connector inserts have been specifically designed to meet the creepage and clearance distance requirements of IEC61984.

The new generation Han DD industrial connector inserts from Harting have been specifically designed to meet the new requirements of the IEC61984/DIN EN61984 standard, which makes new creepage and clearance distances obligatory from October 2004 The new inserts meet the new requirements by offering a working current of 10A at a working voltage of 250V, plus an impulse rated voltage of 4kV at pollution degree 3

They also meet the V0 flammability requirement of UL94 through the use of polycarbonate material.

Other key parameters include a maximum rated voltage (according to UL/CSA requirements) of 600V, minimum insulation resistance of 100Gohm, an operating temperature range of -40 to +125C, and a mechanical working life of more than 500 cycles.

The new generation of Han DD inserts is 100% mateable with earlier versions, so users will have no compatibility problems in using them alongside existing products.
