New UK organisation for Harting
Harting has restructured its UK operations in Northampton with the creation of a new company, Harting UK, which will act as the holding company for two separate operating entities.
Interconnect technology group Harting has restructured its UK operations in Northampton with the creation of a new company, Harting UK, which will act as the holding company for two operating entities: Harting, the existing UK sales subsidiary; and Harting Integrated Solutions, a completely new legal entity which covers the backplane manufacturing operations As a result of the restructuring, Peter Hannon has been appointed Managing Director of Harting, with responsibility for all sales and marketing activities for the UK and Irish markets

He was previously Finance and Operations Director, and before joining Harting in 1998 had held similar positions at Texas Instruments and Power Integrations.
Hannon replaces Richard Wood as Managing Director, who is retiring from full-time involvement with the company but will continue to work in a consultancy capacity on the international development and expansion of Harting Integrated Solutions.
At the same time, Paul Atkinson has been appointed Operations Director of Harting Integrated Solutions (HIS), which is colocated on the Northampton site.
HIS designs and manufactures high-complexity, mixed-technology multilayer backplanes, offering a complete in-house capability with total "value chain" differentiation.
Products manufactured by HIS, which also has manufacturing operations in China and the USA, are sold to Harting subsidiaries worldwide and via the Harting sales and distribution network in the UK and Ireland.
