Harting has a new generation of eight-wire cables and cords suitable for Gigabit Ethernet applications The new cables have been introduced to address industry requirements for higher bandwidths in future proofed commercial and industrial networks, while meeting the growing demands to use materials - such as PUR (polyurethane) and FRNC (flame-retardant noncorrosive) - which comply with 'green' and fire-protection requirements

The range includes Cat 5 and Cat 5e cables and system cords with robust PUR jackets, as well as an outdoor rated Cat 6 product with a PUR jacket.

A new Cat 6A cable is also available, offering a bandwidth up to 500MHz for fixed installations.

All Harting's eight-wire cables are coloured yellow; four-wire cables are supplied in green and outdoor versions in black.
