European stars with global sales award

Fabio Munero has been awarded the prestigious "Global Salesperson of the Year 2005" award at Hitachi's Global Sales Conference held in Taiwan.

Fabio Munero, Business Manager - Southern Europe for Hitachi Display Products Group, has been awarded the prestigious "Global Salesperson of the Year 2005" award at Hitachi's Global Sales Conference held in Taiwan.

The award was presented in recognition of Munero's excellent sales performance and achievements in the development of the component LCD module market in the southern European region.

"We are extremely pleased that Fabio's efforts have been recognised at a global level".

"The European market is gaining in significance and size and this award affirms its importance as the location for a number of major customers and a hotbed for product innovation", comments Myrddin Jones, Managing Director of Hitachi Display Products Group.

"We have had successes with a number of major customers in the telecommunications, white goods and industrial sectors in Southern Europe and Fabio has been instrumental in helping develop and nurture these accounts".

Munero has worked for Hitachi for the last 8 years, joining Hitachi Display Products Group three years ago.

He is responsible for Hitachi Display Product Group OEM accounts in Southern Europe.

These cover a number of industry sectors including telecommunications, automotive, industrial and consumer products and appliances.
