Quarter VGA modules resolve to save
space

Two high performance 2.7in TFT LCD modules from Hitachi Display Products Group are engineered to meet the demanding needs of industrial and consumer applications The high-brightness TX07D09VM1CBB and touch-panel TX07D09VM1CAB both offer wide operating temperature ranges of -20 to +70C and QVGA resolution, displaying the same amount of information as the larger 3.5in displays but in a smaller package

"Engineered to Hitachi's demanding quality standards the TX07D09 has been specifically designed to meet the needs of industrial and consumer markets with potential applications ranging from smartphones, PDAs and handheld GPS units to a host of industrial areas such as building control systems".
Both displays provide a contrast ratio of 300:1 using normally white transmissive TFT LCD technology.
Whereas the 18g TX07D09VM1CBB delivers a brightness of 420cd/m2 in a 50.54 x 68.62 x 2.6mm form factor, the resistance type touch panel TX07D09VM1CAB offers 340cd/m2 from the same outline but slightly deeper 3.63mm package, weighing in at 24g.
Both variants feature white LED backlights and offer 256K colours.
To satisfy the needs of the most demanding customers, Hitachi's policy is to offer products which will be available for at least three years.
The two TX07D09 variants are available immediately through Hitachi Display Product Group's distribution partners across Europe.
