Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team May 9, 2007

A compact 5.7in LCD combines the performance demanded by industrial customers with all the low power benefits of LED backlighting.

New from Hitachi Display Products Group, the TX14D12VM1CBC is a compact 5.7in LCD that offers the high performance demanded by industrial customers together with all the low power benefits of LED backlighting.

By ensuring outline compatibility across the range of 5.7in TFT and STN displays, Hitachi continues to provide customers with choice to meet any design requirement in addition to a reputation for quality and reliability.

"The launch of the TX14D12VM1CBC offers a clear upgrade path for customers wanting to use mechanically compatible monochrome and TFT options".

"In common with the recently released SP14Q011-A, the TX14D12VM1CBC delivers QVGA resolution and an LED backlight packaged within the same compact outline dimensions", says Mark Stephenson, Product Manager for Hitachi Display Products Group.

"While delivering consistently high levels of performance, the long life LED backlight helps reduce power consumption and removes the need for a high voltage inverter".

Operating over a wide temperature range of -20 to +70C the TX14D12 delivers customers 320 x 240 QVGA resolution in the 131.0 x 102.2 x 10.9mm form factor compatible with existing compact modules.

The normally white transmissive colour TFT displays 262,000 colours, while clear, bright images for all lighting conditions and uses are assured with 350cd/m2 and a contrast ratio of 350:1.

The TX14D12VM1CBC is available immediately through Hitachi Display Product Group's distribution partners across Europe.
