Screens offer luminance boost
Hitachi Displays has developed both medium-sized and compact IPS LC displays with IPS-Pro technology.
Hitachi Displays has released IPS-Pro-Prollezza technology Delivering an improvement of around 1.4 times in luminance with power consumption equivalent to conventional products Pro-Prolezza has been adopted in high-definition compact IPS liquid crystal (LC) screens for mobile phones and single-lens reflex digital cameras.

Hitachi Displays has also developed a hybrid IPS LC with suppressed light reflection.
With this technology optical transmittance has been significantly enhanced with an improvement in the TFT pixel structure design and fine processing technology.
Luminance has consequently improved 1.4 times, from the 350cd/m2 of conventional products to 500cd/m2.
This has been achieved without increasing power consumption, enabling a high-quality LC display that is easily viewable outdoors.
