VGA-resolution module has long-life backlight

5.7in TFT display with LED backlight delivers crisp, bright images in Windows CE environments and other high-resolution applications.

The latest LCD module from Hitachi Display Products Group brings VGA resolution and a 40,000 hour LED backlight to the company's range of compact 5.7in TFT displays.

The 640 x 480 VGA-resolution module delivers 256K colours, and a contrast ratio of 350:1 and typical brightness of 350cd/m2 ensure clear, bright images for all lighting conditions and environments.

"With the introduction of the TX14D14VM1BAB customers now have a compact 5.7in VGA display with an LED backlight to deliver crisp, bright images in Windows CE environments and other high resolution applications", says Mark Stephenson, Product Manager for Hitachi Display Products Group.

"While taking advantage of the benefits of an LED backlight such as reduced power consumption and dispensing with the need for a high voltage inverter, the TX14D14VM1BAB also delivers consistently high levels of optical performance".

"This introduction further demonstrates the commitment of Hitachi to deliver a choice of high quality, high performance displays to meet the evolving needs and design criteria of industrial customers".

With module dimensions of 131.0 x 102.2 x 10.9mm, the TX14D14VM1BAB form factor is compatible with the other compact displays in the 5.7in range and features an active matrix, transmissive TFT display.

A touch-panel version of the display, the TX14D14VM1BPB, is also available, making this product ideal for a huge range of embedded industrial solutions from handheld dataloggers to human-machine interfaces.

Both product versions are available immediately via Hitachi Display Product Group's distribution partners across Europe.

Hitachi Display Products Group is also able to design and develop customised display modules for specific customer requirements.
