The BlueMod Bluetooth single board computer is now officially recognised by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

The BlueMod Bluetooth single board computer is now officially recognised by the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG).

This makes BlueMod the world's first (and only) fully qualified Bluetooth SBC.

BlueMod is commercially available now via HCV Wireless.

BlueMod can serve as either a prequalified Bluetooth product for OEMs or a rapid Bluetooth prototyping platform for system integrators and application developers.

The SBC features a powerful 32bit onboard microprocessor and multiple connectivity accessories.

BlueMod also comes bundled with BTW, Widcomm's Bluetooth communication software for Windows and Windows CE, so development solutions can cover both embedded and Windows environments.

The BlueMod starter kit normally retails for US $2999.

HCV Wireless is currently offering a half-price special (until 31st August 2002) for just US $1499.

The company is also offering a free Bluetooth USB dongle with each kit.

The growing range of BlueMod accessories includes an Ethernet gateway, home networking gateway, USB host and LCD.
