Helping Hand Software has released an implementation of the DNS and SMTP application layer protocols for its embedded TCP/IP stack There is an increasingly important market need to connect embedded systems and devices to an Ethernet network, and to monitor and control them via a standard web browser

An embedded TCP/IP stack is needed to implement this connectivity.

Once networked, some systems need only to provide basic services such as serving dynamic web pages.

Others, however, need to provide higher level services such as sending e-mail.

The addition of DNS and SMTP modules to their product range now enable Helping Hand Software to develop high level embedded web servers to client requirements.
