Low-cost temperature sensors go onboard
A new range of low-cost temperature sensors designed specifically for use on printed circuit boards has been developed by Heraeus Sensor-Nite.
And now the merger of Heraeus Sensor-Nite and Sensycon is complete.
Under the management of Dr Martin Turwitt, the integrated company will immediately operate under the name Heraeus Sensor Technology.
Heraeus Sensor Technology is a competence centre for platinum thin-film sensors within the Heraeus Group.
Typical applications for such sensors include the measurement of temperature, flow, humidity or gas.
Progressive materials technology makes it possible to cover temperatures ranging from -20 to +100C.
Major applications are the automotive industry, the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry, electronics, the white goods market and life science.
"We are pleased that the integration of the two companies has been accomplished so rapidly", said Dr Martin Turwitt, Managing Director of Heraeus Sensor Technology.
"Our customers will benefit from an expanded product portfolio and our integrated expertise in sensor technology at the high level of quality to which they are accustomed".
