High-speed emulator has USB controller covered
The DProbeHS in-circuit emulation system from Hitex now supports the USB 2.0 derivative AT89C5131 from Atmel.
Additionally, it is equipped with a FPU (floating point unit) and extensive on-chip peripherals.
All Hitex solutions for the TC1130 offer complete support of architecture-specific functionalities.
The debugger Hitop5, which is also used as the graphical user interface for all Hitex tools, was equipped especially for this chip with MMU and FPU support.
The MMU support ensures that modules and routines that request memory via MMU can be debugged despite this mechanism.
FPU instructions are also represented in the code as such.
In addition Hitop5 permits fast programming of Flash memories of a large range of manufacturers, such as AMD, ST or Intel.
All important internal and external Flash algorithms are supported.
For the support of on-chip peripherals, Hitop5 offers convenient display and control of the special function registers.
If on-chip peripherals other than the ones supplied are to be supported or if the display is to be customised, the provided SFR files can be modified.
An SFR file contains a derivative-specific window definition, which allows the designer to: display and modify the special function registers of the controller; display and modify registers of peripherals; and display the contents of address ranges relevant for the application.
For evaluation purposes, Hitex offers a board support package as well as a starter kit.
If substantially higher performance is required, the modular emulation system Tanto is available.
This system can grow with increasing project demands.
The top-of-the-line model allows trace recording and debugging of complex systems in real time.
