Hitex will release the Tantino for ARM11, a new member of its software debugging tools for ARM devices, at Embedded World 2005 in Nuernberg The JT debugger supports the v6 architecture of the ARM11 processor, with substantial improvements during interrupt processing and in the memory system, as well as offering support for multiprocessor systems
The media instruction set extensions for the up to fourfold acceleration of multimedia applications is a further new characteristic of these v6 architectures.
This particularly benefits audio and video coding schemes like MPEG4.
Besides the compact Tantino, which is aimed at small budget projects, the Tanto real time emulation system will also be shown.
The complete ARM toolchain supports CPUs with ARM7, ARM9, ARM9E, ARM11 and Xscale cores.
Like all Hitex debug tools Tanto and Tantino work with the proven Hitop C/C++ debug user interface.
