Prominent US manufacturer MCC Corp has enhanced its range of test tools for the I2Cbus available from Hitex Development Tools.

Prominent US manufacturer MCC Corp has enhanced its range of test tools for the I2Cbus available from Hitex Development Tools In addition to the range of adapters for standard bus speeds, a new variant is available for variable clock frequencies covering a range from 451Hz to 57kHz, allowing communication with I2C devices not running at the usual 100 and 400kHz clock frequencies

Also new, the iProTx module provides monitoring and elimitation of electrostatic discharges (ESD) as well as switching and startup currents.

A new I2Cbus/SMB voltage level translator enables bidirectional communication with 1.5V-based systems.

The well-known I2Cbus monitor plus software development kit for the development of customised I2C applications has been extended.

The kit is particularly suitable for users, who have to integrate the monitoring of their automatic test system or have difficult I2C bus or SMBus system problems to solve that require the analysis of bus traffic.

The kit for Microsoft Visual C++ programming contains a Windows DLL for the control of the adapter, step-by-step guidance on the production of custom software as well as VC++ source code for the decoding of data and for the display of bus messages.
