At the Embedded World 2005 in Nuernberg, Hitex will present the latest addition to its range of debug tools in the shape of the Tantino for Intel XScale The PXA255 XScale processor uses the v.5TE ARM architecture

With a CPU clock of up to 400MHz, integrated cache for data and code and a multiplicity of peripheral modules, it is widely used in wireless and portable computing applications.

Based on Intel Media Processing Technology, it supports demanding, low power consumption audio and video decoder applications in multimedia PDA and smartphone applications.

The Tantino for Intel XScale covers the basic debug and run control functions required for program development, plus the processing of program trace information from XScale's on-chip trace buffer.

Besides the Tantino for Intel XScale, further variants of the Tantino family will be introduced at Embedded World 2005.

The complete Hitex toolchain supports the ARM7, ARM9, ARM9E, ARM11 and XScale families.

All Hitex debug tools use the efficient Hitop user interface.
