Package supports FPGA-based controller
design
Hitex offers an FPGA development platform, which together with examples of hardware designs and the DProbeHS in-circuit emulator, forms a complete package for software development.
These days modern FPGAs offer enough programmable logic to be able to implement complete processors and peripherals, including RAM, around an 8051 microcontroller core For these system-on-chip (SoC) solutions, Hitex offers an FPGA development platform, which together with examples of hardware designs and the DProbeHS in-circuit emulator, forms a complete package for software development

Hardware support for latest ARM-based controllers
The Tanto-ARM in-circuit emulator and debugger now supports the ARM9 series of microcontrollers.
The examples are based on standard 8051 implementations from Mentor Graphics, Synopsys and Quickchip, and demonstrate that the emulator solution has the advantage of not requiring additional FPGA logic for the debug interface, eg for a JTAG debugger.
The complete solution contains the FPGA development board and CDs with software and hardware examples, as well as evaluation versions of the FPGA development environment.
For software development alone designers just require the DProbeHS emulator and an 8051 compiler.
The compact high-end DProbeHS emulator supports all standard 8051 derivatives up to 70MHz and like all Hitex debug tools it is operated via the intuitive Hitop interface.
