The latest release of Hitop, the user interface for all Hitex debug systems, boasts easier operation and extended detail functionality Among the highlights of Hitop 5.18 is a substantial enhancement to the automated testing facility

Now applications can be loaded without user interaction by command files, so improving interworking with external tools such as Tessy and compiler vendors' own IDEs.

Furthermore Hitop 5.18 automatically recognises whether the application currently loaded into Hitop has been changed by external tools such as linkers or make utilities, for example.

Hitop 5.18 can now open a number of disassembly windows.

The additional windows display code areas that may be freely set by the user.

The names of the windows can also be specified.

In multiprocessor systems, memory contents can be changed even if the main microcontroller is stopped by the debugger.

In Hitop 5.18, a special facility is incorporated that gives the automatic display of any altered memory contents.

Finally, the IDE function of the new version 5.18 supports a wide range of microcontroller compilers and real time operating systems and gives the developer complete control of all development tools from a single environment.
