Users of the Tessy software test tool can now test embedded software with full reference to the hardware environment and the physical interfaces of the application system.

Hitex Development Tools has extended the capabilities of its Tessy software test tool with a hardware-in-the-loop system - Tanto2-HIL Now users can test embedded software with full reference to the hardware environment and the physical interfaces of the application system

Tessy controls the generation and sampling of signals for the target hardware.

The HIL system comes with a standard physical interface adapter to connect digital I/O signals.

Customer specific adapters can also be provided to support analogue or communication signals.

The HIL system is able to generate and capture dynamic signals and signal sequences using an internal buffer memory of up to 1Gbyte.

The inclusion of the application's hardware environment in testing will improve both the test coverage and the quality of test results.
