Hardware support for latest ARM-based controllers
The Tanto-ARM in-circuit emulator and debugger now supports the ARM9 series of microcontrollers.
Up to 2 million CPU command cycles can be recorded and analysed with the reconstructed program flow of the C program application.
The STR912F is based on the powerful ARM966E-S core and adds a high-speed trace port to the standard JTAG interface.
With up to 96MHz internal clock and an integrated Ethernet MAC the controller is well suited for advanced control tasks in embedded networking applications, whereas the debugging of these applications will be considerably improved by trace recording.
To become familiarised with the STR912F architecture Hitex also offers a starter kit containing all the necessary hard- and software.
The kit includes an evaluation board, the Tantino for ARM7-9 JTAG debugger, a quick start guide and a CD with Hitop including examples, Gnu compiler, Hisim ARM instruction-set simulator and the Tessy unit test tool.
