From 1st October 2001, Nissei Sangyo Co will be known as Hitachi High-Technologies Corp (HHTC).

This is a key strategic move to consolidate development, manufacturing, sales, marketing and support activities and the new company results from a merger between Nissei Sangyo and Hitachi's Instrument Group and Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment Group.

HHTC will be a leading high-technology trading company, providing companies in the UK with a knowledgeable, reliable and innovative partner to ensure their success.

HHTC in the UK comprises five independent sales divisions: Scientific Instruments (electron microscopes and analytical instruments), Electronic Components, Materials Division, Factory Automation and Medical Equipment Combining Hitachi's proven expertise in the development and manufacture of electron microscopes, clinical analysers, semiconductor manufacturing, inspection and evaluation equipment with Nissei Sangyo's sales and support strengths, will allow the new company to respond even faster to the needs of customers in these rapidly expanding markets.

For the new HHTC Scientific Instruments division, as with the other four, it will be business as usual as the new company continues in the tradition of Nissei Sangyo and puts customer satisfaction at the top of its priority list.

It will strive to ensure all projects run smoothly and all customer requirements are met on time.
