The Bat is billed as the worlds first industrial wireless hub.

The Bat is billed as the worlds first industrial wireless hub.

Using the worldwide standard IEEE802.11b, the Bat brings the ease of use of wireless Ethernet to the industrial environment along with Hirschmann's reputation for reliability.

Running on the industrial standard power supply of 24V DC, the DIN rail mountable Bat uses a separate antenna to achieve outstanding coverage in the electrically noisy areas typical of industrial applications.

Transmission distances up to 100m in ideal conditions are achievable without difficulty.

The new Bat also offers improved user efficiency and machine productivity.

Wireless devices manufactured by other companies that use the IEEE802.11b standard, such as Rockwell Automation's handheld wireless HMI, can now easily be connected into a factory network, allowing seamless integration between wireless and wired devices.
