Flip-chip arrays provide transient
protection
The ProTek Devices U0402FCxxC Series is a family of "unbumped" flip-chip arrays for transient voltage protection in applications where space is very limited.
The ProTek Devices U0402FCxxC Series is a family of "unbumped" flip-chip arrays for transient voltage protection in applications where space is very limited The absence of "bumps" on the package means that it can be used on unpopulated PCBs when solder print cannot be controlled to conform to the recommended minimum requirements

Power relay shows a sensitive side
Relay is designed with a minimum of piece parts and a coil terminal over-moulding to achieve a compact configuration and high reliability.
OLED modules provide rapid response
Powertip OLED graphic modules combine brilliant, high-contrast colours with a very wide viewing angle and rapid response time, coupled with a very cost-effective price.
As a result, the U0402FCxxC Series is ideally suited for small circuit-board applications in areas such as wireless communications and portable equipment.
All devices in the family are bidirectional, making them ideal for differential line protection on I/O ports.
They can also be used in conjunction with R/C or L/C components to provide a combined transient voltage suppression and filter network.
To reduce installation costs as well as acting as a space saver, the flip-chip package can be mounted directly onto a printed circuit board in the same way as chip resistors and capacitors.
The range is available in the single-die (0402) configuration with ratings from 3.3 to 36 V.
The devices meet the electrostatic discharge requirements of IEC61000-4-2 (EN61000-4-2) air and contact discharge.
They have been tested at up to 25kV under contact ESD conditions, and provide protection for both positive and negative transient events.
The series is rated for 250W peak pulse power dissipation for an 8/20 (S transient) waveform.
Spice parameters and models are available on request from the manufacturer.
