OLED modules provide rapid response

Powertip OLED graphic modules combine brilliant, high-contrast colours with a very wide viewing angle and rapid response time, coupled with a very cost-effective price.

Inelco Hunter has introduced the Powertip range of OLED (Organic LED) graphic modules which combine high-contrast colours with a very wide viewing angle and rapid response time.

The response time is less than 20us, as opposed to 25,000us for TFT LCDs, making them ideal for full-motion video.

The viewing angle is 180 degrees.

The modules also feature a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, and because no backlight is needed, the power consumption is very low - typically 100-200mA.

The product is therefore suitable for battery/portable solutions.

The operating temperature is -40 to +85C, compared with -20 to +70C with TFT LCDs.

The modules have a typical thickness of less than 1.6mm.
