Microcoax connector supports high-speed data
Compact coaxial connectors provide economical high-speed wire-to-board connections in low-voltage digital signal applications.
Microcoax connectors enhance flip phones
New flip phones and displays with multi-axis hinges will benefit from Honda's new board-to-microcoaxial connectors featuring the world's smallest pitch of 0.3mm.
The HDRA E68M is a 68-contact 0.8mm-pitch IDC-type male connector for solid 28AWG cables, ideal for high-performance compact applications requiring cost-effective shielded connectors to ensure data integrity at high speeds.
Also compatible with 30 and 34AWG cables, the E68M connector can be mated with the HDRA series right-angle DIP-type female connector or board-edge SMT-type female connector on the PCB.
Honda's HDRA series is one of the widest ranges of shielded board-to-board and cable-to-board connectors and housings to support ANSI/SFF-8441 for VHDCI (very high density cable interconnects) and helps protect against the effects of RF and EMI.
The series now features 68-, 36- and 100-position connectors for a wealth of designing choice, and all styles withstand a minimum of 5000 mating cycles for guaranteed durability.
For exceptionally high-density applications on network servers and notebook computers, for example, the series includes a dual-stack SCSI right-angle female connector with headers facing each other in a mirror configuration to save space and incorporates a continuous ground plate.
A range of plastic and die-cast backshells, screwlocks and accessories supports the HDRA series and a range of tooling is offered by Honda to prepare the cable connector prior to final assembly.
