Farnell has expanded its connector portfolio with the signing of a trading agreement with Honda Connectors Under the agreement, Farnell is to supply Honda's high-performance single and dual HDRA series of VHDCI connectors throughout Europe, in its print and online catalogues

The Honda HDRA series offers reliable, high-density, shielded interconnect between high performance computers and peripherals, and in backplane applications, up to the 320Mbyte/s datarate required by the Ultra320 SCSI interface standard.

Commenting on the agreement, Mark Smith, Farnell's Connectors Product Manager, said, "Honda is widely recognised as providing the broadest range of VHDCI connector configurations and styles for SCSI and backplane applications, and has an outstanding reputation for product quality.

Our agreement with them significantly expands the portfolio of solutions that we are able to offer our customers".

Craig Millward, Managing Director (Europe) for Honda Connectors, added, "We regard Farnell as Europe's top source of electronic components for the design engineer - and are delighted that they have selected our VHDCI range for inclusion.

We believe that Farnell will be extremely effective at taking these connectors to a wide market in Europe".

Following the signing of the agreement, Farnell is offering the Honda connectors in single and double configuration online, allied to a selection of appropriate cables in standard lengths.
