Conductive fabric rolls in for shielding
Holland Shielding Systems has developed a highly conductive fabric that requires hardly any force to achieve an optimum electrically conductive contact.
Holland Shielding Systems has developed a highly conductive fabric that requires hardly any force to achieve an optimum electrically conductive contact Applications for the fabric include EMI-shielded cable wrapping and gaskets
Because of the low closure force required to obtain continuity, less mechanical stress is put on the components to be shielded.
Also, overall enclosures can be made lighter.
The fabric is available in rolls with a range of widths from 10 to 1400mm for application such as cable shielding, shielded tents and wall covering for Faraday cages.
It can also be supplied in a flame retardant version.
Alternatively, the company can supply the material as complete gaskets ranging in size from 0.7 to 60mm.
