The W.FL coaxial wire to PCB connector is billed as the world's smallest coaxial connector, and at only 1.4mm high and occupying only 3.4mm2 of PCB space, it may well be.

The connector has a frequency range of DC to 6GHz, making it perfect for wireless LAN, Bluetooth PDA, GPS, electronic measuring instruments and any space-critical electronic equipment.

The PCB mount receptacle weighs only 5.6mg and is supplied packaged in tape and reel format, the outer shell is silver plated with a gold centre contact.

Mounting onto the PCB is achieved with three ground points and a centre contact to give stability, performance and strength.

The plugs are also silver plated with a gold centre contact and are supplied preterminated to 0.8mm-diameter cable.

When mating with the receptacle, full mating is confirmed by a tactile click.

The plug can then be rotated through 360 degrees, making the routing of cable straightforward.
