High sensitivity makes it suitable for precision measurement of low resistance, particularly in laboratory and test environments, and its scope covers cable joints, earth bonds, switches, motors, transformers, generators, conductor resistance and other applications.

The unit has a maximum test current of 1A and provides resistance measurement over the seven selectable ranges of 20mohm, 200mohm, 2ohm, 20ohm, 200ohm, 2kohm and 20kohm with accuracy to +/-0.05%.

Readout is on a 4.5-digit LED.

A four-terminal measurement method eliminates errors that would normally occur due to test lead resistance, and the circuitry used achieves measurement much faster than traditional bridge techniques.

Internal digital calibration is provided and each unit is supplied with a certificate of conformity.

Safety features provide protection when measuring inductive devices such as transformers and electric motors, and the instrument is supplied with Kelvin type test leads.
