Terminal enables users to receive/send at high speed data rate

Huawei Technologies' CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev terminal enables users to receive/send at a high speed data rate of 3.1 Mbps on the forward link and 1.8 Mbps on the upload/download reverse link. The CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.A provides operators with a future-oriented, high-performance and profitable full-service platform, supporting abundant services such as VoIP, wireless broadband access, and streaming media.

The service flow-based mechanism of CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev allows distinguished dispatching for voice flow, video flow and normal data flow that ensures a high quality subscriber experience with VT services.

Huawei's industry-leading CDMA2000 BTS technologies reduce power consumption by 44%, and power amplification efficiency is increased up to 33%.

Huawei first previewed its CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.

A service at 3G World Congress 2005 in Hong Kong, where customers experienced firsthand how the device delivers high speed and large bandwidth.

Huawei also set up a video monitoring service experiment on the Shanghai high-speed subway.

At mobile speeds of over 100km/h, the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.

A delivered a data rate of 2.4 Mbps on the forward link and 1.6 Mbps on the reverse link.

Liqun Cai, President of Huawei's CDMA Product Line, said; 'High-speed data access and multiple service provision is becoming a new revenue source for operators'.

Huawei CDMA products serve 60 Million CDMA subscribers.

In 2006, Huawei won a national contract from Leap Wireless, to provide the first All-IP CDMA2000 network in USA, and it has worked with CANTV/Movilnet in Venezuela, PBTL in Bangladesh and Starcomms in Nigeria.

Since 2000 Huawei has devoted extensive resources into CDMA RandD, with more than 3,000 engineers engaged in CDMA RandD, and taking out more than 1,000 patents in CDMA technology.
