The LX.5 single-mode and multimode connector offers twice the fibre capacity at only half the size of SC connectors by integrating two ferrules, solving critical space problems in fibre optics.

The revolutionary LX.5 single-mode and multimode connector from Huber+Suhner offers twice the fibre capacity at only half the size of SC connectors by integrating two ferrules, solving critical space problems in fibre optics.

This is a crucial advantage for future growth in fibre optics and can also mean considerable cost savings.

The new connector can be used for both planned and existing installations and delivers highly efficient handling of audio, video and data transfers.

To prevent eye accidents from emerging laser light, LX.5 connectors and adapters are fitted with automatic metal shutting caps, which also act as a ferrule end-face protection.

The integrated latching mechanism prevents an unintentional opening and serves as quick-lock to the adapter.

Integration of the LX.5 into Huber+Suhner's fibre-optic distribution systems is easy.

It can, for example, be used for Lisa.1 fibre management solutions and is also available for use with Masterline preterminated cabling solutions.

The LX.5 connector can be assembled as a duplex connector with a single duplex clip.

It is designed for an operating temperature range of -40 to +85C, features UL94V0 material and meets Bellcore GR 326 standards.

The device is available in 12 colours to help prevent mismating.
