Close to unity power factor for switchers
HiTek Power has introduced the TEK PFC Series of low-voltage, switch-mode power supplies in low-profile open-frame or fully enclosed configurations.
Two variants are available, offering outputs of 60kV at 67mA, rising to 120mA at 30kV; and 100kV at up to 20mA.
Both are available with positive or negative output polarity, with either isolated or ground-referenced filament supply.
The units feature air-insulated high-voltage multipliers for high stability and ease of maintenance.
Versatility is offered by a choice of three control methods: front-panel multi-turn potentiometers for output current, voltage, filament current and overall power control, with four back-lit LCD panel meters for monitoring; analogue 0-10V input; and RS232.
Safety features include interlocks, monitoring of water flow for X-ray tube protection and a safety lamp drive for X-ray status indication.
