High stability from X-ray generators
HiTek Power has introduced the XR4K family of X-ray generators, intended for applications in analytical X-ray systems, fluorescence (XRF) and diffraction (XRD) and food industry inspection.
The new HiFlex systems offer a very broad choice of low- or high-current output modules and feature redundant operation between each module, utilising built-in ORing circuitry.
This allows easy configuration for a wide variety of applications, including telecommunications, computer peripherals, process control, thermal printers, and office automation, medical and industrial equipment.
The systems meet the requirements of the UL2601 and EN60601 medical standards.

UHiTek Power has a new series of low-profile AC/DC convertors for use in modular distributed power systems.
The HF-10 and HF-16 have five and eight slots, respectively, and the input circuitry accepts voltages in the range of 85-264V AC, with active power factor correction to 0.99.
DC/DC single or multiple output modules can occupy any of the slots.
For system control logic use, both units incorporate a built-in isolated standby output of 5V at 0.3A.
The HF-10 has a power rating of 700W through the full 85-264V AC input range and 1000W with a 220V AC input.
The HF-16 is rated at 1000W through the full 85-264V AC input range and 1600W watts with a 220V AC input.
The HF-10 and HF-16 provide up to 16 or 24 outputs, respectively, with no minimum load requirements, and afford unlimited output combinations that meet all international safety and emission specifications.
The front panel features LED status indicators for DC-OK, AC-OK, fan fail, and overtemperature protection.
Standard functions include global inhibit/remote on/off, as well as overcurrent and overvoltage protection on all outputs; for individual control, the DC/DC modules also allow remote on/off.
The hot-plug versions of the HiFlex supplies feature new, specially designed and tooled Positronic connectors, with the industrial versions using input and output screw terminals.
HiTek Power's proprietary ORing system saves a minimum of 15W of power per high-current module, compared with conventional ORing techniques.
In addition, the 200W output modules include the integrated isolation circuitry and single-wire active current sharing necessary for N+1 hot-plug systems.
This high-efficiency design permits the HF-10 to be packaged in a 280 x 127 x 63mm fan-cooled enclosure.
The HF-16 measures 280 x 203 x 63mm.
