High stability from X-ray generators
HiTek Power has introduced the XR4K family of X-ray generators, intended for applications in analytical X-ray systems, fluorescence (XRF) and diffraction (XRD) and food industry inspection.
To earn the registration, the company refined and optimised its processes in areas such as waste management, emergency preparedness and business continuity planning, training and participation, environmental legislation compliance and management system integration.
From the outset of the ISO14001 introduction process it was decided to integrate the new environmental management system with HiTek Power's existing ISO9001:2000 registered quality management system; so both quality and environmental elements are contained within one integrated management system.
Therefore system documentation is not duplicated and the company's system processes can be carried out effectively and efficiently.
Jeff Edwards, HiTek Power's Director of Quality, says: "It is very important to us that we manage the impact of our business on the environment and that we do everything we can to minimise it".
"This registration shows that our policies and procedures comply with current environmental legislation and that we meet the requirements of a globally recognised standard".
