The new Philips Nexperia PNX4008 processor incorporates PowerVR MBX graphics IP from Imagination Technologies, which was licensed by Philips Semiconductors through ARM in March 2004.

The new Philips Nexperia PNX4008 processor incorporates PowerVR MBX graphics IP from Imagination Technologies, which was licensed by Philips Semiconductors through ARM in March 2004 The PNX4008 is based on an ARM9 processor accelerated by dedicated, tightly integrated engines providing high-end multimedia functions for excellent power consumption and overall system performance

It provides sophisticated video, graphics, imaging, audio and security functions for feature-rich mobile handsets.

The device delivers extreme gaming using an advanced PowerVR MBX 3D graphics engine from Imagination Technologies.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination Technologies receives license fees and royalty revenues on SoCs incorporating Imagination Technologies' IP shipped by partners.
