Under the new partnership, offerings including the IAR Embedded Workbench and the uC/OS-II from Micrium will be available for selected 8, 16 and 32bit microcontrollers (MCUs).
Such related products as a TCP/IP stack, file system and USB stack from Micrium, and starter kits and the IAR J-Trace debugger for ARM from IAR Systems, are included under the agreement.
Both companies will provide first-line technical support to respective customers.
"Having worked with IAR Systems in the US over the past year, both companies understand the value added of offering tools and middleware jointly", stated Jean Labrosse, President of Micrium: "IAR Systems supports a wide range of 8, 16 and 32bit architectures with products that are complementary to those of Micrium".
"Our global reach will further address the needs of a wide number of embedded developers across the full spectrum of industry sectors".
